We Invented the Festival App.
And That Was Just the Beginning.
In 2009, Aloompa partnered with Bonnaroo to launch the world’s first-ever festival mobile app. It changed everything.
Since then, we’ve continued to lead the way by innovating how fans experience live events and how producers, brands, and venues use mobile technology to connect, engage, and grow revenue.
Today, we’re focused on what’s next: AI-powered personalization, real-time content delivery, and seamless integrations across mobile, web, and in-person experiences. We’re building smart, scalable technology that enhances the fan experience while unlocking new insights and opportunities for event organizers.
Here’s a look at how we got here and where we’re headed:
2009: The World’s First Festival App
Aloompa and Bonnaroo introduced the world’s first festival mobile app, laying the foundation for a new era in live event technology
2010: The First Artist App
We launch Kenny Chesney’s official app: the first Artist App in the app store for a major artist globally that garnered significant press, features from Apple, and notoriety for Aloompa across the world.
2013: Sponsorships & Integrations
We introduce brand sponsorships within festival apps, turning mobile into a revenue stream. This year also marks the beginning of our ongoing focus on seamless technology integrations that elevate the user experience.
2014: Presence™ Geolocation
Our Presence platform is launched, enabling proximity-based marketing through beacons and geofencing. Presence has since become essential for delivering hyper-targeted marketing campaigns and gathering actionable insights, turning what started as a simple notification mechanism into a sophisticated data-driven ecosystem.

2015: Beyond Mobile Apps
With our Web Embed feature, events can now manage mobile and web content from one central location, improving consistency and reducing friction.
2015: The Data Revolution
A big year for Aloompa. We expanded focus beyond app design and features to include how mobile app data creates value for sponsors and impacts the bottom line. We implemented a dual-focus approach: enhancing fan interactions and empowering event producers to maximize app-driven revenue. And we leveraged advanced GPS capabilities to create new opportunities for data collection and actionable insights in the event industry.
2016: International Expansion
Aloompa partners with Rock in Rio, creating our first international festival app. This marks the start of a global presence that continues to grow.
2018: Mobile Pre-Order
We launch LiveOrder™, letting fans order merch and concessions directly from their phone, skip the line, and pick up at designated areas.

2019: New Revenue Tools
Our Reservations feature lets fans reserve a spot at exclusive on-site experiences like brand activations, meet-and-greets, and VIP viewing areas. Events can now increase revenue through elevated experiences and manage demand more efficiently.
2021: Automated Platform, Superior Support
We rebuild Aloompa as an automated, self-serve mobile app platform, providing scalability for building mobile apps. And the addition of our Client Support team and robust knowledge base, provides events with superior, flexible support.
2023: Real-Time App Metrics
We launch our Analytics Dashboard, giving clients real-time access to key app metrics and insights.

2024: A New Chapter with WMT Digital
Aloompa joins WMT Digital, expanding into a vertically-integrated ecosystem that combines fan engagement tools, data collection, and advanced analytics under one roof.
The Future of Live Event Tech Starts Here
Aloompa is more than just a mobile app company. We’re a long-term technology partner for events looking to personalize experiences, generate revenue, and better understand their audience.
We’ve come a long way since that first festival app. And we’re just getting started.
