Unlocking Revenue – 3 Ways to Use Our Reservations Feature

ComplexCon x Gillette Labs
ComplexCon helped Gillette launch their new GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor at this one-of-a-kind event in Long Beach. Guests could reserve a 15-minute shave or shape-up at the GilletteLabs Barbershop using the ComplexCon app by Aloompa (iOS, Android). To make this activation super-exclusive, seats were extremely limited. We’re talking like 30 seats each day limited. Those not fortunate enough to grab a spot were still able to see Gillette’s celeb barbers and appearances by pop up guests. The results? Seats sold out almost immediately and the activation generated a ton of buzz (pun, intended).
This is a great example of using our Reservations feature to offer a limited capacity exclusive upgrade and simultaneously provide a fun experience for all event attendees.
Summerfest x Pepsi
The world’s largest music festival, Summerfest, welcomed over 900,000 guests through the Milwaukee, WI gates in 2023. Alongside that huge crowd were massive names on the stage and on the sponsor list. Summerfest partnered with Pepsi to give thousands of those guests free GA admission when they downloaded the official Summerfest app (iOS, Android).
Thanks to Reservations, Summerfest had an easy way to distribute tickets that drove app downloads. And as the presenting sponsor, Pepsi was top of mind for thousands of thankful (and thirsty) attendees receiving free admission.
Imagine Festival x Hygiene (Showers)
Imagine Music Festival is a three-day electronic music and camping experience in the Georgia woodlands. Needless to say, there are shower facilities onsite. But anyone who’s used public showers knows the risk of long lines at peak times (and pretty much any given time). Our Reservations feature and mobile app (iOS, Android) help Imagine solve this problem by selling shower access in 30-minute increments.
- Revenue generation. By exclusifying this experience, Imagine Festival creates tangible value and monetizes an amenity they were already providing.
- Better overall experience: Campers can count on getting a shower at a specific time, giving them more control when planning their festival experience.
- Cost control: Offering free shower access to all campers would require factoring that cost into the price of all tickets. By selling access only to those who use this amenity, GA ticket holders aren’t paying for something they don’t want or need.
- Cashless: Reservations allowed Imagine to make their shower purchases cashless, which solved the problem of many campers not bringing cash but still wanting (or needing) a shower.
